With Mimi growing big now finally it's time to get her geeky vest collection out of the wardrobe that have been waiting her for almost a year:)

284 nap után, 63 centisen 6565 grammosan ma elengedtek minket a kórházból. Mostantól Mimi hivatalosan is normális baba (két éves korig fél évenként van felülvizsgálat azért minden koraszülöttnek).

After 284 days, being 63cm 6565g today we got discharged from the hospital. From now on Mimi is officially a normal baby (there are check-ups every 6 months up to two years old though, for every ex-preemie).

Könyvmolyok - Bookworms

No, második textilpelus kísérleti nap van ma. Mimit nem hatja meg a dolog (bár mintha pirosodna a pelus alatt, még várok és figyelek), anyunak tetszik, apa meg nem tiltakozik:)

Mindenesetre sokkal-sokkal egyszerűbb és tisztább, mint vártam, mondjuk ehhez az is hozzátartozik, hogy ő már azért nem csak anyatejes kis újszülött.

Elemzés az érdeklődőknek:
Próba alatt van egy FuzziBunz one size elite, egy Bumgenius v4 gombosés egy Bumgenius v4 tépőzár.
A FB eddig mind a két alkalommal eresztett a lábaknál, nem vagyok benne biztos, hogy nem raktam bele elég betétet, a gombolás volt rossz, vagy csak nem nekünk való. A másik kettő pöpec, hosszában is lehet állítani őket, viszont nagyobbak így Miminek akkora feneke kerekedik, hogy csak ténsasszonynak hívom. Tépőzár vagy gomb: a tépőzár egyszerűbb, viszont a patentos sem bonyolult, így azt hiszem ez az egy tépőzáras marad csak.
Egyelőre folytatjuk a megfigyelést, ha a FB-t együttműködésre tudom bírni, akkor valszín fele-fele lesz a rendelés, ha nem, akkor a BG a nyerő.

So, this is the second day of the reusable nappy experiment. Mimi can't be bothered (although I'm not sure whether she's getting a bit red under the nappy, I wait and see), mummy likes it and daddy doesn't object:)

All in all it's much simpler and cleaner than expected, although have to add that she isn't the little breastmilk-eating newborn anymore.

Analysis for those who are interested:
We got a Fuzzibunz one size elite, a Bumgenius v4 poppers and a Bumgenius v4 velcro.
The FB was leaking both times aroudn the legs and I'm not sure whether I didn't put in enough inserts, not adjusted well enough or simply it isn't for us. The other two are fine, they can be adjusted in lenght too but because of this they are bulkier, Mimi gets a huuge bottom in them. Velcro or poppers: velcro is simpler but the popper are not complicated either so I think we stick with poppers.
At the moment we continue our observations and if I can convince the FB to cooperate we'll get half-half, if not the BG is the winner.

We participated in a charity walk, collecting money for a premature baby charity.

Jótékonysági gyalogtúrán vettünk részt, hogy pénzt gyűjtsünk egy koraszülöttalapítványnak.

Mimi was very busy at today's charity event, shadows to observe, people to look at, babies to talk to and of course balloons to inspect.

Mimi nagyon elfoglalt volt a mai jótékonysági eseményen, meg kellett figyelni az összes árnyékot, embert, beszélni kellett a bébikkel és persze ellenőrizni a lufikat.

Ilyen, mikor az ember képes totálisan hülyét csinálni magából, csak hogy kacagni hallja a lányát (és akkor még a kánkándallamot le is vágtam a végéről!)

Panama

We got a lovely German book (How Nice Is Panama) from a lovely friend on account that she indeed went to Panama and Mimi absolutely loves it!
Kaptunk egy édes német mesekönyvet (Milyen szép Panama) egy édes barátnőtől annak örömére, hogy ő tényleg elment Panamába, Mimi imádja!

Mimi jó esetben alszik míg anyu a parkban futkorászik egyéb anyukákkal kilók leadása céljából. Rosszabb esetben unatkozik és ezt muszáj üvöltéssel kifejeznie.
The better case is when Mimi sleeps while mummy is running around in the park with other mummies to shred some weight. The worse case is when she's bored and needs to express it by screaming.

Amit anya meg apa eszik az valahogy jobban csúszik - fürdés helyett töltöttpaprika (amúgy ez ilyenkor tök nagy dilemma, hogy most hétkor fürdetés helyett etessem, ha akar vagy fürdés és utána szopi).
What mummy and daddy is eating is way yummier - meatballs instead of bath (by the way at these occasions I'm really unsure whether I should feed her at 7pm if she wants or just have a bath and some breastfeeding).

A hetet betegen kezdtük, azóta kiderült (?), hogy valószínű a háromnapos vírus kapta el Mimit, lázas volt, és nyűgös, és minden, ami ezzel a kettővel jár,most meg kiütéses. Viszont sokkal könnyebb türelmesnek lenni egy beteg nyűgössel, mint egy nem beteg nyűgössel, mert könnyebb a helyébe képzelnem magam. Mint említettem már, a türelmet nem sorolnám, ha a tíz legjobb tulajdonságomról kérdeznétek. Elmentünk háziorvoshoz is, aki megvizsgálta (addigra persze már nem volt láza), hümmögött egy sort és azt mondta ennek a gyereknek semmi baja, ah lázas lesz megint csillapítsuk, ha aggódunk vigyük vissza, de szerinte jól van. Én meg hirtelen túlaggódós elsőgyerekes szülőnek éreztem magam.

Amúgy Mimi fejlődik továbbra is, mindig van egy-egy új produkció (oldalra és göröngyös ágyon hasra fordulás, új mássalhangzók ami "rendes" gügyögést eredményes, ilyesmi), viszont a haja nem nő. Van, meg biztos lesz is, de egyelőre kis golyófejű (hívom így is).
Amit a betegség elején kezdett el, és próbálom kitalálni, vajon mi lehet és mitől, hogy altatáskor, már mikor majdnem elalszik elkezd üvölteni, torkaszakadtából, szívszaggatóan és kell vagy tíz perc, mire sikerül lenyugtatni, utána vagy egy óra, mire sikerül elaltatni. És néha felébred még este, ugyanígy, és lezavarjuk ugyanezt a műsort. Nagyon rossz látni plusz estére már a türelemzsák is eléggé lapos) és nem tudom mit tudnánk tenni. Ma próbáltam másképp altatni, meglátjuk.

Az evés még téma: már napi kétszer kajál, úgy, hogy utána tejet nem kap (ohne utántöltés) és mostanra egy csomó dolgot - ma épp a francia sztárszakács(?) Bertinet-féle hagymás focacciát nyomta be Bathból a kocsi felé menet, kétpofára (mondjuk azt én is). Nagy siker volt még a gulyásleves (jó magyar gyerök, na) és a sárgadinnye. Viszont ha vannak ötletek, receptek bébiknek szívesen veszek mindent!

No hát ezek történnek felénk manapság.

This week started out with an ill Mimi, since then turned out that she probably caught the three day virus, she had fever and has been cranky and everything that accompanies these two, and now rashes appeared too. But to tell the truth it's so much easier to be patient with a poorly baby who's cranky than with a not poorly one because it's just easier to empathise. As I've mentioned already patience isn't one I'd list if asked about my ten best features.We ended up going to the GP who - after examining her (of course no fever by then) and some 'hm's - declared her fine, saying that if she gets a tempreture again we shall just keep it down, if we worry get back to him. After all this suddenly I felt like an overworrying first time parent.

Mimi is developing ok in general, there is always a new trick (rolling on the side and on a bumpy bed even onto the tummy, new consonants which results in proper babytalk now, and so on) but her hair isn't growing. There is some and I'm sure there will be but right now she's a little bowlhead (this sounds cuter in Hungarian).
There is something she started when she got poorly and I'm trying to figure out what can it be and what can cause it that when she's about to fall asleep in the evening , just when almost there she starts to scream, at full volume, dreadfully and we need a good ten minutes to calm her and another hour to get her sleeping. And sometimes she even wakes during the evening and we have the same performance. It is really hard to see her like this (plus in the evening my patience bag is rather empty) and not sure what can we do. Today I tried a different way of getting her to sleep, we shall see.

Eating is a trending topic now: she's eating twice a day and not having any milk top up with that, and by now she's eating various things - today a French star baker, Bertinet's onion focaccia was on the menu (for me too) in Bath, on the way back to the car. Goulash (good Hungarian kid!) and melon were also a huge success. But if you have any ideas/recipes I'd be glad to get some!

Well, this is all that is happening at our side nowadays.

Azért megálltunk Anglia egyik legdrágább utcája előtti parkban egy gyors peluscserére/evésre, míg a többiek az Edvárd-korabeli házakról hallgattak kiselőadást.
Although we did stop the park in front one of Englands' most expensive street to have a quick nappy change/feed while the others were listening to the guide talking about Edwardian era housing.
