A topic I've been meaning to write about for a while: talking.
As Mimi is growing up in a multilingual family (English, Hungarian and German with some Polish to spice it up) her speech skills are expected to be behind a bit from early age (this was fairly clear even at the 1 year old check up, when she scored around 4% if I remember correctly). She's going to be 22 months in 2 weeks and still not even close to talking. She does make sounds but not using them to "name" things and they are more like some kind of very rudimentary speech imitation (it's not even baby language, I remember that my niece last year this time was babytalking fluently) than "talking" (although she does have different combination of vowels and consonants for pleasure and fun but even those change quite often). She does use baby signing well though so luckily we can communicate effectively.
And she is definitely on the way, she does understand what is speech, what we use it for and how do we do it as you can see on the video: even the dolls (and the tractor) talk while helping mummy and Mimi tidying up the room before bedtime.
Egy téma, amit kerülgetek egy ideje: a beszéd.
Mivel Mimi egy többnyelvű családban nő fel (angol, magyar és német, némi lengyellel fűszerezve) a beszédfejlődése várhatóan eléggé elmarad kezdettől fogva (ez jól látszott már az egy éves felmérésen is, ahol a beszédre valami 4%ot kapott, ha jól emlékszem). 2 hét múlva 22 hónapos lesz és egyelőre még csak a közelében sem jár a beszédnek. Hangokat persze ad ki, de nem használja őket arra, hogy megnevezzen dolgokat és inkább valami kezdetleges nyelvutánzatnak tűnik (még csak nem is babanyelv, emlékszem, hogy az unokahúgom tavaly nyáron már folyékonyan hablatyolt), noha használ különböző magán- és mássalhangzókombinációkat a jó érzés és a mókás dolgok kifejezésére, de azok is sűrűn változnak. Szerencsére a babajelekre nagyon fogékony, így viszonylag jól tudunk kommunikálni.
Ahogy a videón is látszik, azért halad, érti, mi az a beszéd, mire való és hogyan csináljuk: a babák (és a traktor) dumálnak egymással, amíg segítenek anyunak és Miminek rendet rakni a szobában lefekvés előtt.
